The purpose of this applet is to help visualize some of the possiblilities for the GRUB 2 graphical menu. The applet actually uses Unicode bitmap fonts in BDF format. I wrote a simple (hackish!) BDF file loader for Java to make this possible.
You can use the arrow keys and Enter to operate the menu.
This is a very rough proof of concept, so things don't look great, but I think it is still a valuable tool to help visualize potential features in the real GRUB menu.
